Hey everyone,

Today, I went to see a friend of mine in the hospital. He overdosed on Morphine and other opiates. He was gay, and his father was unsupportive and abusive.

He took the pills at school, or home before school on friday. Mr. Beautha, a principal at the high school, called his parents and his dad picked him up, he was fine then, but they took him to the er anyway to run tests, he tested positive for opiants, and his mom took him to the cope hill recovery center in Asheville, an hour away. The ride there he talked with his mom, told her he loved her, and slept. He was really tired, and he left a support meeting becasue he wasn't able to keep his eyes open. He went to his room, felll asleep on his stomach, vomited, aspirated it, and his heart stopped, and they dont know how long he was like that before they found him. they rushed him to Mission, a nearby hospital, and did a CT scan, and the drugs effected his whole brain. They have pronounced him brain dead, but he is still on lifesupport. and the family is donating the organs. The family is in a lot of pain, guilt, and heartache. They need prayers and comfort from our father. So please pray for Brandon Ball, for the Ball family, for the kid who supplied the drugs, and all those family and friends in heartache and mourning over the loss of Brandon.

I've never seen anyone on lifesupport before, having their heart beat, and their lungs breathe with the assistance of a machine. It is a terrible thing to see a loved one in that situation. So please pray. I know this isn't very revelent to our trip, but I know all of you are strong Christians. So thank you.
