My name is Haley Brooks, I’m 16, and I live in a small town called Slyva, in North Carolina.
I go to an Early College High School. So that basically means that I will have my assocites degree and my high school diploma a year ealier than I would have gotten my high school diploma at a traditional high school. It’s a lot of work, but I love it. I live with my mom and my brother. And I am very close to my friends and church family. My youth pastor is basically a second father to me. I am one of the youth members that David will talk to about upcoming trips for our youth, so I feel very invloved and very blessed to be the person that they consider to ask about things. I will be working at a local Inn at the resturant they operate. Which I am very excited about becasue I am very much a people person! [: I love getting out and doing new things. I also love music. I play tennis and swim for the high school team. It’s complicated how I play sports for a school that I don’t go to. Haha. But I do. I’ll explain it, if you are curious. I love kids!! I want to become a doctor and do medical missions. That is my passion and calling. The day i get back from the trip I have to go to Black Mountian, NC for another church thing!! I am a student leader at that camp. But I am looking forward to using what I learned in the DR to help lead my small group to a better, more clear relationship with God. [: Hmmmm, this is very unorganized. But you get the picture!!! [: my name on Facebook.com is Haley Shae Brooks.

Hey,
I haven’t done any of those 3 blogging things that we have to do yet, but i’m Katie, & i thought it was cool that you feel called to medical missions, because i do to!
We’ll definitely have to talk about it.
I’m interested in medical missions as well, or I was. I’m just not totally sure if that’s what God wants for me, it’s awesome how you’re called to it ๐
Ahh that is sooo so exciting!!!
I never even had it as an idea in my mind that I was even in the position where I could do medical mssions until these past few months. God has defintly put it on my heart to do that! :]
Haley! Glad to have you on the team! I’m also a tennis player and played through high school and taught at a summer camp up in Maine during the summer after my freshman year in college. I wonder if we’ll find some courts in the DR…probably not! ๐ Anyway, glad to have you on the team!
